Kombucha Brew Log
I brew my own kombucha. It's much cheaper and I can make flavors that I love. It's very simple BUT I need to track many aspects of each batch to figure the perfect recipe. Some of the important factors that effect a batch are:
- room temperature,
- length of each brew (there may be two brews),
- the sugar content of the fruit used,
- and the scobby (that slimey thing that makes it all work).
For the past year I've been tracking everything in a little notebook, but it's not real easy to figure out the perfect combination of these (and other) details that go into the perfect brew. Also, timing is important and I keep forgetting that I need to brew, bottle or refrigerate a batch so I don't always get the perfect brew.
Hence the need to create a Kombucha Brew Log that keeps track of every detail, shows me the best combination of brewing characterists, and reminds me when I need to deal with a batch.
